Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 November 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information LawSaathi ("we", "us") collects when you use lawsaathi.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you subscribe to the Daily brief, we collect your email address. If you write to us through the Contact page, we collect your name, email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers and service providers receive standard technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the referring page, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies. Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them, and allow our advertising partners to use them, as described in sections 3 and 4.
We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive personal data, and we do not sell your personal information.
2. How we use information
We use the information to publish and deliver the website, send the Daily brief to subscribers, respond to messages, understand which content readers find useful, keep the site secure, and display advertising that funds our reporting.
3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to show advertisements on this site.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, visit policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you.
4. Analytics and security
We use Cloudflare to deliver and protect the site, including Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page views and site performance. Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address for these purposes under its own privacy policy.
5. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
6. Sharing of information
We share information only with service providers who help us run the site (hosting, security, email delivery and advertising), when required by law or by a lawful order of a court or authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our readers and of LawSaathi.
7. Retention
We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe, and messages for as long as needed to respond and keep a record of correspondence. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to access, correct or erase the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent. Every Daily brief email contains an unsubscribe link. To make any other request, write to us at the address below.
9. Children
This site is meant for adults and for law students. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. Links to other websites
Our articles link to judgments, official notifications and other sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised.
